Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, LLC in Middletown, OH is seeking a Machine Operator II for the third shift (5:45pm–6am). Under general supervision, you will operate the entry end of the coating line, load and unload coils, take coil measurements, inspect condition, and ensure files flow to the line.

You will enter coil data into Oracle, calculate coil length requirements, allocate raw coils to the production schedule, and coordinate with teammates to maintain quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
• Preferred: 6+ months of mobile equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate the entry end of the coating line.
• Load/unload coils and take coil measurements (gauge and width).
• Inspect coils before the line and follow QC Lab/Team Leader flow.

Position

This position opening is for third shift 5:45pm - 6am Under general supervision, the Machine Operator fulfills several different operator roles. Position placement is determined based on the needs of the business. Machine Operator II (Entry Operator) will be responsible for operating the entry end of the coating line. Duties include but are not limited to loading up and removing coils, taking coil measurements (gauge and width), inspecting the condition of coils prior to sending to the line, following direction on the flow of material from QC Lab Tech and/or Paint Line Team Leader, entering coil information into Oracle, calculating coil length requirements, allocate raw coils to a production schedule and coordinating with other team members to maintain production quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) Knowledge of basic hand and power tools

Preferred: 6+ months of experience operating mobile equipment in a manufacturing environment
