Job summary

International Paper in Amarillo, TX is seeking an Entry Manufacturing Laborer to support the corrugated production line. The role includes counting, stacking finished product, material inspection, and basic shop math.

Preference for forklift/clamp truck operation is noted, with a focus on reading gauges and following detailed work instructions. Shifts run 2:50pm–11:00pm or 10:50pm–7:00am, Monday–Friday with potential OT on weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to count and stack finished products accurately.
• Ability to read a tape measure and gauges.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, or electronic instructions.
• Proficiency in basic math and use of test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Count and stack finished product.
• Operate a forklift or clamp truck (preferred).
• Inspect outgoing and incoming product and raw materials.
• Read factory orders and read gauges/test equipment.
• Perform basic shop math and document results.
• Complete quality and administrative documents and follow directions.
• Clean-up duties around the machine area (blowing down, wiping shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming, sweeping).
• Manufacture corrugated material.
• Assist Machine Operator and be prepared for promotion to the next level.
• This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION.

Pay Rate

$21.22/hr. up to $26.57/hr.

New Hires Sign On Bonus , If Eligible

• $500 after 30 days
• $500 after 6 months

New Hires Retention Bonus, If Eligible

$500 after 1 year

Additional lump sum after 2 years

Hourly Full-Time: 2:50pm – 11pm or 10:50pm - 7am, Monday–Friday, OT/weekends as needed.

The Job You Will Perform

• Counting and stacking finished product
• Preference, but not required, Operating a Forklift and/or Clamp Truck
• Proper inspection of outgoing and incoming product and raw materials
• Reading factory orders
• Accurately reading gauges and other test equipment
• Utilizing basic shop math, inspecting
• Accurately completing quality and administrative documents and following directions
• This person will also be assigned to clean-up functions such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, as well as picking up and shredding scrap.
• Manufacture corrugated material.
• Assistant Machine Operator and be prepared to promote to the next position level when a vacancy becomes available.
• This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION
