Job summary

Amazon in the United States is seeking an entry-level Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to help build a safer, more productive environment at Rialto-area sites. You’ll receive extensive safety training and develop into a safety leader while supporting daily programs.

You will conduct audits, investigations, and risk assessments, train teams, and partner with operations to reduce incidents. This role requires flexibility for shifts, lifting up to 49 pounds, and working at various fulfillment

Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a bachelor’s or master’s degree. (You must have all degree requirements met before your first day.)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
• Degree in a health and safety-related subject is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and implementing all aspects of Amazon’s Global Safety Program.
• Identifying safety risks and improvement opportunities through audits.
• Facilitating incident investigations processes and maintaining OSHA/compliance paperwork.
• Performing risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis).
• Providing safety training to team members and assisting with safety tasks.
