Job summary

Aerotek in Pomona, CA is seeking an entry-level Welder to support fabricating and assembling metal components used in rolling steel doors and grilles. You will work with MIG welding equipment, follow blueprints, and stay focused in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role offers first shift 7am-3:30pm with occasional overtime. Candidates with recent welding schooling or hands-on MIG/Stick experience are encouraged to apply; safety and quality are emphasized as you grow your fabrication

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience on steel components.
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and measuring tools accurately.
• Experience using grinders and drills in fabrication environments.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Proficiency in MIG welding and familiarity with stick welding.
• Strong attention to weld quality and product specifications.
• Commitment to safety procedures in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on steel components with consistent quality and adherence to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and drawings to determine welding and fabrication requirements.
• Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal parts for rolling steel doors, grilles, and related products.
• Inspect welds and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment, including grinders and drills, safely and efficiently.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances throughout the fabrication process.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe manufacturing environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area, including proper handling of tools and materials.
