Job summary

Benz Technology in Fort Meade, MD is seeking an entry-level developer to join a small team building and maintaining enterprise web services deployed in AWS. You’ll contribute real work from day one while growing your skills through code reviews and hands-on experience.

This role offers close mentorship, clearly scoped tasks, and opportunities to develop fundamentals across frontend (HTML/CSS/JS, Vue.js, React) and backend (PHP, C#, Java, Node.js, Python) in a Linux environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with one or more backend languages: PHP, .NET C#, Java, Node.js, or Python.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js, or React.
• Comfort working in Linux environments (CLI, permissions).
• Ability to work with well-defined tickets and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Implement features and bug fixes based on defined tickets and acceptance criteria with code review support
• Learn and contribute to an enterprise web services platform across frontend and backend layers
• Assist with maintaining and troubleshooting web applications hosted in AWS
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Follow team development workflows and deployment processes while building familiarity with the codebase
