Van Cleef Engineering Associates, LLC is seeking an Entry Level – Project Designer to join our Water/Wastewater team in Bethlehem, PA. This role offers an opportunity to learn, contribute to projects, and support efforts to deliver safe drinking water and proper wastewater management.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years of design engineering experience, familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of design engineering experience, preferably in water resources.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Interest in asset planning and water/wastewater system planning.
• Knowledge of water resources industry and environmental regulatory field.
• GIS and hydraulic modeling experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategic long-term water and wastewater system planning, including recommending projects.
• Conducting or reviewing system capacity evaluations using hydraulic models.
• Assisting senior staff with planning studies using hydraulic modeling.
• Assessing system capacity, asset condition, and efficiency; recommending improvements.
• Supporting capacity evaluations and service extension requests.
• Participating in field project work and asset management initiatives.
