Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking an Entry Level Water/Wastewater Inspection Specialist to join the Water/Wastewater team in Hunt Valley. The role provides technical assistance as a field technician and inspector for water and wastewater system investigations.

The position offers 7:00 am–4:00 pm hours, field work in all weather, and up to 25% travel. JMT emphasizes ESOP ownership and comprehensive benefits including health coverage and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Must pass JMT Motor Vehicle screening.
• Able to pass security background checks.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs as needed.
• Confined space entry capability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide field assistance under supervision on project work.
• Perform on-site inspections of sanitary sewer infrastructure per NASSCO standards (manholes).
• Review CCTV videos and code defects per NASSCO/JMT standards.
• Complete SSES investigations including smoke/dye tests and flow isolation.
• Conduct site investigations and operate monitoring equipment as required.
• Maintain field equipment in good working order.
• Prepare inspection reports per JMT/client guidelines.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Communicate with field crew leader, PMs, clients, and the public professionally.
• Occasional out-of-town travel for projects.
