Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Civil / Water Resources Engineer to join our Transportation team in the Washington, DC area (Columbia, MD; Herndon, VA; Washington, DC).

You will assist with drainage designs, hydrology calculations, and coordination with utilities and agencies to support transportation projects. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in civil engineering and are prepared to obtain the FE exam within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or relevant field.
• EIT or ability to pass FE exam within six months of hire date.
• Civil transportation/hydrology coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist design team with roadway drainage and stormwater designs.
• Perform hydrology/hydraulics design calculations and analyze projects.
• Coordinate with utility owners, MDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare or modify reports, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs.
• Prepare design computations and quantity estimates.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Some travel will be required.
