Job summary

Mead & Hunt in the DC metro area seeks an Entry-Level Civil / Water Resources Engineer to join our Transportation team. You will contribute to planning, design, and construction solutions across transport-related projects and water resources initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, can pass the FE exam within six months, and has coursework in transportation or hydraulics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• EIT or ability to pass FE exam within six months of hire.
• Coursework in transportation and/or hydrology and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Assist design team with roadway drainage and stormwater designs.
• Perform hydrology and hydraulics design calculations and analyze projects.
• Coordinate with utility owners, MDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare or modify reports, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs.
• Prepare design computations and quantity estimates.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
