Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking an Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Water Resources Team in Detroit to improve infrastructure. A bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering is required, with 0–3 years of experience. Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and/or Revit is preferred, and EIT is an option.

A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 90 days of employment. Responsibilities include planning, design, permitting, and construction support for water

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• 0–3 years of related experience.
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or Revit experience preferred.
• EIT preferred.
• Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support on water utility projects (collection, pump stations, treatment, and distribution).
• Prepare engineering calculations and supporting analysis of alternatives.
• Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards.
• Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and Revit.
• Review plans and specifications; assist with permit submittals.
• Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities; assist with scope, budget, and schedule.
• Monitor task budget and progress; document design changes and communications.
• Conduct on-site inspections as needed; prepare project status reports and assist in proposals.
