Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated seeks an entry level Pump Technician to assist with water pump installation and routine mechanical work on large water well pumps. You will lift heavy components, operate service trucks and equipment, and collaborate with the crew to meet deadlines in outdoor job sites.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, good communication, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. A Class A or B CDL is REQUIRED for this role.

Qualifications

• Must follow safety procedures and quality controls.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs; may assist with 100 lbs.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with water pump installation tasks and routine mechanical work.
• Lift and move pipe and pump components as needed.
• Operate and maintain service trucks and basic equipment.
• Collaborate with crew to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain time, materials, and required paperwork.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repair of water pumps.
• Transport equipment between sites and set up for jobs.
