Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Civil/Environmental Engineer to provide planning, design, and construction support for water utility projects in the Pittsburgh area. You will prepare calculations, design reports, and construction plans using AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, and Revit, and assist with permitting and proposals.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Civil or Environmental Engineering, 0–3 years of experience, and strong writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
0–3 years of related experience.
Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and/or Revit preferred.
EIT preferred.
Excellent writing, organizational and communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to work well with others.

Responsibilities

Provide technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support on water utility projects.
Prepare engineering calculations and supporting analysis of alternatives.
Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards.
Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and Revit.
Review plans and specifications.
Prepare or assist with permit submittals.
Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities.
Assist with or review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks.
Monitor task budget and progress.
Document design changes and communications.
Conduct on-site inspections as needed.
Prepare project status and other reports.
Assist in preparing proposals.
Assist Project Managers.
Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings.
