Jobtailor in Tampa, FL seeks an entry-level Civil/Environmental Engineer to provide technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support for water utility projects. You will prepare calculations, design reports, and construction plans using AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and Revit, review specs, and assist with permits and costs.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Civil/Environmental Engineering, 0–3 years of related experience, and may have EIT.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.
0 to 3 years of related experience required.
Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and/or Revit is preferred.
AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or Revit experience is preferred.
EIT preferred, strong writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support on water utility projects.
Prepare engineering calculations and supporting analysis of alternatives.
Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards.
Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and Revit.
Review plans and specifications and prepare or assist with permit submittals.
Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities.
Assist with or review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks.
Monitor task budget and progress and document design changes.
Conduct on-site inspections as needed and prepare project status reports.
Assist in preparing proposals and support Project Managers.
Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings; maintain client relations.
Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with standards.
