Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking an entry-level O&M Technician to join the Plymouth, MA team. You will assist with operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility, collection system, and related equipment, contributing to daily process monitoring and compliance goals.

The role involves field and laboratory tasks, data gathering for reports, and adherence to safety and operating policies. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential for career growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Experience operating/maintaining a wastewater treatment facility or an equivalent combination of work/education.
• Massachusetts Grade 3 license preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable time frame.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, staff, and the public.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Familiarity with biological/chemical treatment processes with emphasis on laboratory analysis, record keeping and facility maintenance.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 40 lbs regularly.
• Background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in daily operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility as directed by the Plant/Project Manager.
• Participates in daily operations and maintenance of the collection system and components as directed by the Plant/Project Manager.
• Assists with preventative maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
• Performs daily site inspections and rounds.
• Gathers information for reports, including data for Monthly Operating Report.
• Coordinates with operations staff to follow policies and safety procedures.
