Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking an entry-level O&M Technician to join the Plymouth, MA wastewater team. This full-time role supports operation and maintenance of facilities, collection systems, and related equipment, with daily process monitoring and documentation.

Outdoor work and on-call rotations are expected, with a typical Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule. You will gain hands-on experience, work toward license upgrades, and contribute to compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining a wastewater facility or similar environment.
• Massachusetts Grade 3 license preferred or obtainable within a reasonable time frame.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, and to communicate clearly.
• Familiarity with biological/chemical treatment processes, laboratory analysis, record keeping, and facility maintenance.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.
• Successful candidates will complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen.
• On-call rotation required; Monday–Friday schedule and potential weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Participates in daily operations and maintenance of the wastewater facility as directed by the Plant/Project Manager.
• Maintains the collection system and its components as directed by the Plant/Project Manager.
• Assists with preventative maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
• Performs daily inspections and rounds of operating sites.
• Gathers information for reports, including Monthly Operating Report.
• Coordinates with operations staff to follow policies and safety procedures.
