Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Waste Process Technician I at our Gary, IN site. This entry-level role safely off-loads inbound trucks, conducts QA/QC, samples materials, and processes waste through shredding and solidification steps using forklifts and basic equipment.

You will support safety and regulatory compliance, complete paperwork, and help maintain a clean facility while learning NetSuite and MS Office tools. A high school diploma and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrate good judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, hand trucks and other power tools.
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds; comfortable with extended standing, bending, and kneeling.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; ability to document and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Understand and support safety and compliance requirements in the facility.
• Operate equipment including pressure washers, power tools, forklifts, and related devices per policies and OSHA.
• Safely operate mobile equipment within facility boundaries.
• Off-load inbound packages, liquid trucks and containers.
• Process inbound material using facility and mobile equipment.
• Perform QA/QC and laboratory analysis on waste streams and materials.
• Complete facility paperwork for receiving, piece count, verification, and manifest review.
