Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Waste Process Technician I in Gary, IN to safely perform basic waste processing tasks, including unloading inbound trucks, QA/QC, sampling, and loading material into the solidification pit. A general mechanical understanding and forklift operation are preferred, with training and a GED program available.

Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year of related experience, ability to pass a respirator fit test, and proficiency with NetSuite and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in a related role.
• Able to pass respirator fit test.
• Ability to use NetSuite.
• Good judgment, problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, hand trucks and power tools.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and endure standing/walking for long periods.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel; strong written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to safety in varying weather and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Understand and support safety and compliance requirements.
• Operate equipment including forklifts, pressure washers and power tools per policies.
• Safely maneuver mobile equipment within facility boundaries.
• Unload inbound packages, liquid trucks and containers.
• Process inbound material using facility and mobile equipment.
• Perform waste QA/QC and lab analysis on receiving and shipping.
• Complete facility paperwork including manifest reviews and piece counts.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and grounds.
