Job summary

Perishable Distributors of Iowa, a Hy-Vee company, is seeking a Warehouse Selector – Level I to efficiently and accurately select, verify, and palletize customer orders for transport.

You will operate stand‑up rider pallet jacks, use a VAU headset for directing to pick slots, and validate selections by voice and check digit. The role requires sustained physical effort in a refrigerated environment and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and speak English.
• Must be 18 years of age to operate warehouse equipment.
• High school or equivalent preferred.
• After initial training period must meet 90% of engineered productivity standards and 100% quality.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work on schedule and on time.
• Observes sanitation and adheres to safety rules.
• Maintains acceptable productivity and quality per Standards Program.
• Operates stand‑up rider pallet jack and VAU for picking.
• Validates selections by voice input and headset check digit.
• Builds and secures pallets for transport; applies stretch wrap and labels.
