Job summary

US Foods in Iowa City, IA is seeking a Night Warehouse Selector to accurately pick and palletize customer orders in a fast-paced environment. You will operate electric pallet jacks, perform pre-shift checks, and ensure products are correct and undamaged before shipping.

Starting pay is $24.00 per hour with overtime and incentives up to $6 average per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package from day one.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday. At times weekends and holidays are required.
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Selecting: Safely and accurately select customer orders, confirming that selected products are correct and undamaged.
• Palletizing: Construct and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity and accuracy standards.
• Operation: Conduct pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate electric pallet jacks.
• Fulfillment: Transfer products from racks to pallets using order selecting software.
• Staging: Transport products to the designated dock area and shrink-wrap palletized orders.
• Collaborate: Work with the team to maintain clean and safe aisles and return equipment to the charging area.
• Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.
