McLane Company, Inc is hiring for a Warehouse Maintenance I in a fast-paced distribution center. The role is entry-level and focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on material handling equipment and facility systems.

You will gain hands-on experience with maintenance tasks, be part of a safety-conscious team, and work with various DC systems in a 3rd shift environment. Training and development are emphasized as you grow in the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in industrial maintenance.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience with material handling equipment.
• Able to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Experience with distribution center industrial equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, tuggers, and carts.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Basic computer skills with experience in a maintenance database such as MP2, DataStream 7i, or Maintenance Connection.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Track spare parts usage, inventory and work order actions according to policy.
• Assist with DC maintenance such as refrigeration, plumbing, lighting, welding, dock doors, air systems, racking, tote washer, and air spray painting.
• Maximize availability of all classes of batteries by managing charging cycles and battery rotation.
• Perform inspections and cleaning; do specific gravity checks; evaluate cable serviceability and repair.
• Develop working knowledge of the McLane Maintenance Connection database.
• Other duties may be assigned.
