Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Jessup, PA is hiring for a Warehouse Maintenance I. This entry-level training role trains you to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment in our distribution center.

You will work the 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.), with starting pay of $21.41–$27.04 per hour and benefits beginning after 60 days, including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life insurance, vacation and sick leave accrual, holidays, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience with material handling equipment.
• Able to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Experience with DC equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, tuggers and carts.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Experience with maintenance databases MP2, DataStream 7i, or Maintenance Connection.
• English reading/writing sufficient for job tasks and safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure spare parts usage, inventory and work orders are tracked per policy.
• Assist with DC maintenance: refrigeration, plumbing, lighting, welding, docks, air systems, racking, and painting.
• Maximize battery availability by managing charging cycles and rotation.
• Perform inspections and cleaning; test specific gravity; evaluate cable serviceability.
• Learn McLane Maintenance Connection database basics.
• Other duties may be assigned.
