Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an entry-level Visual Inspector to visually and dimensionally inspect parts, identify surface defects, and verify conformance to customer blueprints and tech cards.

You will work with fixtures, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices, document data, and coordinate with engineering to resolve non-conformances. Entry level starts at $20/hr with a $2,000 sign-on and retention bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years of visual and dimensional inspection experience in manufacturing, preferably aerospace.
• Able to read and comprehend English.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and work in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify surface defects by reviewing tech cards, techniques, and routers.
• Visually inspect parts at multiple process points for defects.
• Use hand tools to assist in inspection.
• Ensure dimensional conformance using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and fixtures.
• Enter data into systems and prepare quality reports.
• Coordinate with engineering to resolve non-conformances.
