Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Visual and Dimensional Inspector in Ogden, Utah. You will inspect parts visually and dimensionally, using micrometers, calipers, and fixtures to ensure conformance to blueprints and tech cards.

You will mark non-conforming areas and collaborate with engineering to resolve issues. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years in manufacturing inspection, preferably aerospace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years of visual and dimensional inspection experience in manufacturing, aerospace preferred.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and tech cards.

Responsibilities

• Identify surface defects by reviewing tech cards, techniques, and routers.
• Visually inspect parts at multiple process points for defects.
• Ensure dimensional integrity using templates and measuring devices.
• Mark castings that need rework to meet specs.
• Enter dimensional data into computer systems for SPC charts.
• Collaborate with engineering and other departments to resolve non-conformances.
• Prepare reports on quality issues as needed.
