Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or related hands-on automation experience.
• Basic understanding of digital imaging, resolution, exposure, and image formation.
• Programming experience with Python, C#, C++, MATLAB, or similar.
• Familiarity with image-processing concepts (thresholding, filtering, edge detection, segmentation).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to learn new hardware/software.
• Willingness to travel to customer facilities for installation and commissioning.
• Preferred: experience with machine vision, robotics, or imaging projects; familiarity with OpenCV and Cognex.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, development, testing, integration, and commissioning of machine-vision applications.
• Configure cameras, lenses, lighting, sensors, and related vision hardware.
• Develop 2D/3D machine-vision inspections using vision platforms or libraries.
• Perform image acquisition, preprocessing, feature extraction, measurement, pattern matching.
• Assist in lab feasibility testing and collect sample images and data.
• Document test results and communicate limitations to senior engineers.
• Assist integration of vision apps with PLCs, robots, HMIs, and other systems.
• Test inspection performance with production samples.
• Support debugging, runoff, installation, and production launch activities.
• Travel to customer facilities for installation, testing, commissioning.
• Participate in technical discussions and raise feasibility concerns as needed.
