Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) in Columbus, OH is seeking a Vehicle Service Specialist to deliver friendly, customer-focused service while performing preventative maintenance. No prior automotive experience is required; we provide award-winning training to teach you essential tasks.

You'll learn oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, battery tests, lights and wipers replacements, and a comprehensive 18-point safety check, all within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Schedule flexibility (weekends likely) and ability to work non-late nights/holidays.
• Eagerness to learn, friendly attitude, and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to read and understand training materials, safety procedures and instructions.
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.

Your road to VIOC doesn’t require previous automotive experience. Through our award-winning training program, we’ll teach you how to:

• Inspect and replace lights and wipers
• Perform an 18-point safety check
• And other preventive maintenance services

QUALIFICATIONS: What you’ll need to keep moving forward

From day one, you’ll get hands-on training and support to thrive as a Lube Technician. All you need to do is bring your positive attitude, attention to detail, and passion for learning—and we’ll help you every step of the way.

We seek team members with:

• Schedule flexibility (Weekend availability is likely, but we ensure you don’t work late nights or holidays)
• An eagerness to learn, a friendly attitude, and a desire to be part of a customer-focused team
• This role requires the ability to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking

We expect you can:

• Stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Crouch, bend, twist, and work with your hands above your head
• Be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment
