Job summary

Calcasieu Parish Police Jury is seeking anEquipment Maintenance worker to perform routine vehicle and equipment upkeep across a variety of units. Responsibilities include using hand and power tools, maintaining service records, and assisting with spray operations as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with some technical maintenance training preferred. Responsible for safety, logs, and basic reporting in a field environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Basic technical training in vehicle/equipment maintenance preferred.
• Equivalent education/experience acceptable to perform essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance and servicing on various vehicles/equipment.
• Uses and maintains hand, power and shop tools and related equipment.
• Completes logs and simple reports regarding materials, vehicle conditions, and maintenance activities.
• May mix and service spray trucks, calibrate spray equipment for Mosquito Control.
• May prepare spray trucks for nighttime spraying with schedules and logs.
• Other similar duties as assigned.
