Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking an entry-level Validation & Verification Engineer to support the development of advanced transmission systems for commercial vehicles. You will plan and execute testing at the unit, subsystem, and vehicle levels, validating requirements and analyzing results. This hybrid role requires on-site work on Tue–Thu at the Southfield, MI facility.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering is required.
1-2 years of engineering experience in product design, testing or manufacturing (co-ops/internships OK).
Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.
No relocation benefit; candidates within 50 miles of Southfield, MI only.

Responsibilities

Perform validation/testing at unit, subsystem, and vehicle levels to fully validate requirements.
Analyze vehicle test data to identify issues and performance concerns.
Support vehicle modeling and simulation to predict performance.
Develop test methods and perform testing of power transmission systems.
Improve performance and reliability of transmission systems using problem-solving skills.
Apply FMEA to enhance design robustness.
Define requirements and hardware definitions, generate system solutions and test plans, and validate that requirements are met.
Contribute to system-level definitions and algorithm requirements to meet performance objectives.
Define and improve systems engineering standards and processes.
