Job summary

Segula Technologies is seeking a Validation Engineer to define, author, maintain, and govern customer-level requirements and verification criteria supporting current and future vehicle programs. You will collaborate across Product Planning, Core Engineering, Systems Engineering, HMI, Software, Hardware, and Validation to translate needs into testable, traceable requirements.

Qualifications

• Lead the creation, authoring, review, approval, baselining, maintenance, and status tracking of requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Analyze requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, consistent, feasible, unambiguous, testable, traceable, and aligned with objectives.
• Define measurable acceptance criteria and maintain full traceability to customer and system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and decomposition of customer and stakeholder needs into platform-level functional and non-functional requirements for new vehicle features.
• Tailor and manage approved platform requirements for specific program applications, documenting justified deviations.
• Use benchmarking, voice-of-customer clinics, field insights, and stakeholder feedback to convert needs into measurable requirement inputs and verification criteria.
• Partner with validation teams to define verification methods, confirm requirement coverage, support root-cause issue resolution, and verify safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain bidirectional traceability from customer needs down through system, subsystem, software, hardware, and validation requirements.
• Facilitate cross-functional requirement reviews and resolve gaps, conflicts, assumptions, and interface dependencies with global stakeholders while applying consistent authoring standards.

Driven by a global product roadmap, we are seeking a Validation Engineerto define, author, maintain, and govern customer-level requirements and verification criteria supporting current and future vehicle programs. In this role, you will collaborate with Product Planning, Core Engineering, Systems Engineering, HMI, Software, Hardware, and Validation teams to translate customer and business needs into clear, testable, and traceable requirements, ensuring their delivery in accordance with corporate milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Authoring & Lifecycle Management

• Requirements Ownership: Lead the creation, authoring, review, approval, baselining, maintenance, and status tracking of requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle.

• Analysis & Quality: Analyze requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, consistent, feasible, unambiguous, testable, traceable, and aligned with program objectives, architectural constraints, applicable standards, and customer expectations.

• Test Requirements & Acceptance Criteria: Write test requirements in collaboration with development specialists and validation teams, defining measurable acceptance criteria and maintaining full traceability to customer and system requirements.

Feature Decomposition & Platform Tailoring

• Functional Decomposition: Lead the definition and decomposition of customer and stakeholder needs into platform-level functional and non-functional requirements for new vehicle features.

• Program-Specific Tailoring: Tailor and manage approved platform requirements for specific program applications, documenting justified deviations and maintaining alignment with global feature intent.

• Benchmarking & Customer Feedback: Use competitive benchmarking, voice-of-customer clinics, field insights, and stakeholder feedback to identify customer needs and convert them into measurable requirement inputs and verification criteria.

Validation Alignment & Governance

• Validation Partnership: Partner directly with validation teams to define verification methods, confirm requirement coverage, support root-cause issue resolution, and verify safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.

• Traceability & Change Control: Maintain bidirectional traceability from customer needs down through system, subsystem, software, hardware, and validation requirements. Assess requirement changes for technical, timing, cost, compliance, and validation impacts.

• Stakeholder Alignment: Facilitate cross-functional requirement reviews and resolve gaps, conflicts, assumptions, and interface dependencies with global stakeholders while applying consistent authoring standards.
