Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. You will be trained on the job with 100% paid training and provided vehicles with a fuel card for daily use, plus paid holidays and PTO.

Expect to work outdoors, in all weather, with independent problem solving and quick, accurate ticket handling. You will learn to read maps and blueprints, use locating equipment, and communicate clearly with homeowners and team

Qualifications

  • Eighteen years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs; up to 75 lbs with aids.
  • Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Think Safety First.
  • Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
  • Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine locating method/sequence.
  • Use locate equipment and technology to locate underground utilities accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
