Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, regional planning, public administration, or related field.
• Requires two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates in long-range and current planning actions related to compliance with the County’s land development and zoning codes and comprehensive plan goals.
• Evaluates land use, zoning, transportation, housing, and related development proposals for compliance with laws, codes, and standards.
• Performs routine statistical research and data analysis; maintains planning and zoning data; forecasts and identifies growth deficiencies and trends.
• Coordinates federally funded community development projects; monitors schedules, approvals, and payments; facilitates meetings; conducts site inspections.
• Participates in public meetings/hearings and prepares routine materials and presentations; answers routine questions.
