Henry County Government is seeking an entry-level Planning Specialist to provide administrative and technical support to planning and zoning functions. You will assist property owners, developers, engineers, and the public with zoning requirements and development procedures.

Responsibilities include reviewing applications, preparing notices and staff reports, and assisting with public meetings. An associate degree and valid Georgia driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local government operations, planning programs, and office practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to work with the public and co-workers; maintain confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Provide administrative and technical support to planning and zoning functions.
• Review zoning, land development, site plans, and related applications for completeness and compliance.
• Prepare notices, staff reports, and planning documents; assist with meetings and hearings.
• Maintain department documents, maps, and data inventories.
• Research planning issues from multiple sources to support decisions.
