Job summary

Stake Center Locating, Inc. is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We provide 100% paid on-the-job training and equip you with basic skills to succeed, outdoors in all weather and with independent work.

You will learn to problem solve quickly and accurately. We offer a competitive pay rate, company vehicles with a fuel card for daily commuting, paid time off and holidays, safety shoe vouchers, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment; lift up to 25 lbs or 75 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• We will train entry level Locating Technicians to think safety first.
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best locating method and sequence.
• Use provided locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
