Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an entry-level Underground Equipment Operator to support construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical underground distribution systems. The role involves varying locations and potential travel to another state to meet customer demands.

The position requires safety focus, ability to perform rigorous physical labor, and willingness to work in outdoor environments and inclement weather.

Qualifications

• 5-year minimum of recent field experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• CDL preferred.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice and work in various locations.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized underground.
• Assist with installing underground transformers.
• Assist in replacing fuses in transformers and clears faulted circuits and systems.
• Capable of working around energized high voltage systems with care for safety.
• Capable of learning basic knowledge of materials used and identify voltage on circuits.
