Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking an entry-level Underground Distribution Groundperson in Salisbury, NC to help maintain and repair underground distribution and transmission systems.

You will join a team performing energized and de-energized work, following safety standards, with opportunities to progress toward skilled linework. This role requires physical tasks, tool operation, and occasional out-of-town travel for storm response.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to follow directions, work safely & productively.
• Problem solve with unidentified circumstances on any job.
• Identify, operate and service all required tools and equipment (bucket truck, digger derrick truck, tensioners, puller, rollers, hand tamp, chain saw, concrete saw, shovel).

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized underground line work following company safety standards.
• Communicate work to be performed to property owners.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist in installation of structures or cable as required by contract specifications.
• Travel for emergency storm work as needed.
• Report safety hazards to Foreperson.
