Job summary

Qualifications

• Operate and maintain lathes, drill presses, grinders and other machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine measurements and tolerances.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished products for quality control and make repairs or adjustments.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations while working with machinery.
• Communicate with team members to ensure efficient production processes.

We are a leading manufacturing company based in Washington seeking an entry-level Turner to join our team

As a Turner you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machinery to shape and form metal into specific parts

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain lathes drill presses grinders and other machinery to shape and form metal
• Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and specifications to determine the correct measurements and tolerances
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
• Monitor machine operations to ensure they are running smoothly and make necessary adjustments as needed
• Inspect finished products for quality control and make any necessary repairs or adjustments
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working with machinery
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient production processes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience working with machinery preferred but not required
• Basic understanding of blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment accurately
• Physically fit with the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
• Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges

Salary $1000 per month negotiable based on experience

Location Washington candidates living outside the US must have valid work visa
