Job summary

84 Lumber is seeking an entry-level truss builder to assemble roof and floor trusses in our indoor manufacturing facility. No prior experience is required, with on-the-job training provided and opportunities to advance to Lead Builder or related roles.

You will read blueprints, measure and cut materials, and use hand and power tools while adhering to safety protocols. The role is first shift with standard hours and comprehensive benefits after the introductory period.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
• Physically demanding environment (lifting 50+ lbs, standing long hours).
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble roof and floor trusses using pre-cut lumber and metal connector plates.
• Read and interpret blueprints or work orders.
• Operate saws, nail guns, and other hand/power tools safely.
• Ensure trusses meet quality control standards.
• Work in a fast-paced production environment to meet daily quotas.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
