Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Climber I for entry-level tree care in San Diego, CA. The role involves pruning, cabling, bracing, lightning protection, and removals, with support for site clearing and debris disposal. You’ll work under established safety protocols in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities include basic tree work up to 60 feet, safe access, operating chippers and blowers, and proficient use of hand tools. Must follow PPE requirements and communicate effectively to ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Demonstration of role specific skills or verifiable requisite experience.
• Ability to interpret instructions and procedures related to roping and rigging, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tree care operations such as pruning and limb removal on the ground and in trees (up to ~60 feet).
• Access a tree safely per company protocols and move through the canopy to remove branches without damage.
• Safely operate powered equipment like chippers, trucks, and blowers.
• Use chainsaw techniques for ground and canopy work.
• Use hand tools (saws, pruners, poles, rakes, shovels) to perform tasks.
• Wear prescribed PPE per industry standards and company protocols.
• Maintain a safe, organized work zone and prevent property damage or injury.
