BrightView Landscapes in Nashville, TN is seeking an entry-level Grounds Person Tree Care I to assist with tree care operations, brush clearing, chipping, and debris disposal. No prior experience required.

You will support pruning and removal activities, operate basic equipment safely, and follow company safety procedures. This role emphasizes learning on the job, teamwork, and attention to safety around work zones.

Qualifications

• Follows directions and procedures during roping, rigging, and routine maintenance.
• Performs basic arithmetic for measurements related to arboricultural tasks.
• Demonstrates ability to adapt to field variables with concise instructions.
• Uses standardized hand signals to communicate on site.
• Communicates with the public to provide clear directions around the work zone.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic ground-level tree care operations supporting pruning, removal, and maintenance.
• Operate powered equipment safely, including woodchippers, trucks, and blowers.
• Use hand tools safely to complete assigned tasks.
• Select and wear task-specific PPE per safety standards.
• Keep the work site clean, organized, and secure, enforcing traffic controls.
