Sambatek, LLC is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to join our transportation team. You will work with experienced engineers on transportation projects for county and state clients, helping prepare project documents and learn industry standards.

The role emphasizes learning, growth, and collaboration, with time in the office during training and hybrid work afterward. Compensation ranges from $33 to $37 per hour, with overtime eligibility and a supportive, ethical culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.
• Basic working knowledge of OpenRoads Designer preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage tasks on a project with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to highway projects in preliminary design phase or plan development phase.
• Measure, calculate, and tabulate quantities for bidding purposes.
• Participate in quality review processes.
• Perform CAD drafting in OpenRoads Designer.
• Perform subtasks for a task lead or project manager as part of a collaborative team.
• Potential opportunities to spend time in the field for construction inspection and site visits.
