Job summary

HNTB is seeking an intern or returning intern to work on urban planning projects across transportation and infrastructure. You will assist with data gathering, GIS analysis, map creation, and developing presentation materials under experienced staff guidance.

You will contribute to reports, research planning issues, and stakeholder engagement, from concept through project completion, while gaining hands-on experience within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning or related field is required.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience with planning studies and data collection is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Researches and collects raw data, organizes and analyzes for use in projects.
• Performs project analysis using technical guidance and software.
• Assists with development of maps, exhibits, and reporting materials.
• Researches planning issues and develops conceptual planning alternatives.
• Prepares plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents.
• Assists with stakeholder and public participation processes.
• Maintains project records and files.
