Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Civil/CEI professional to assist with construction inspection on transportation projects across field sites in the United States. You will support roadways, bridges, drainage, erosion control, and traffic tasks while ensuring contract compliance and schedules.

You will help estimate manpower, coordinate field staff, and participate in business development and CEI strategy enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• 0 years experience; travel may be required depending on duties and workload.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction inspection activities at transportation projects (roadway, bridge, drainage, erosion & control, maintenance, and traffic).
• Maintain relationships with clients and contractors to ensure schedule and contract adherence.
• Estimate manpower needs, schedule, and assign work to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate the work for field inspection staff.
• Participate in new business development and maintain client relationships.
• Assist in developing and implementing new CEI strategies and improvements.
• Stay updated on new methods and implement warranted program changes.
