Job summary

Dewberry in Roanoke, VA is seeking an Entry Level Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Group. You’ll participate in design of horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage systems, erosion and sediment control, and prepare plans for right-of-way acquisition for a variety of projects.

We value recent graduates with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (emphasis in Transportation). Proficiency with MicroStation is required, and experience with Geopak or OpenRoads is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Transportation) required.
• Proficiency in MicroStation required; Geopak and OpenRoads experience preferred.
• FE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design of horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Drainage systems design and erosion/sediment control.
• Development of maintenance and protection of traffic schemes.
• Preparation of construction and right-of-way acquisition plans for various project types and clients.
