The role involves working on design of horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage, erosion and sediment control, and traffic schemes, across various project types.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Transportation) required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency using MicroStation required; Geopak and OpenRoads experience preferred.
• Experience with MDOT SHA, MdTA, and/or VDOT plans in design-bid-build or design-build delivery preferred.
• Working knowledge of MDOT SHA, MdTA, and/or VDOT standards preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office software.
• Desire to work in a team environment.
• FE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design of horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Design of drainage systems.
• Erosion and sediment control planning.
• Development of maintenance and protection of traffic schemes.
• Preparation of construction and right-of-way acquisition plans for various projects.
