Job summary

MBP is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer for full-time work across Virginia locations including Roanoke, Staunton, Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Winchester, and Culpeper. The role covers on-site representation, documentation, cost estimating, scheduling, plan review, and field inspections.

Candidates should have a BS in Engineering or related field; FE/EIT preferred; OSHA certification required within 3 months. The workflow emphasizes quality, safety, and timely deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Architecture, or related field; FE/EIT preferred; knowledge of construction management and project controls.
• Knowledge of services: critical path method scheduling, cost estimating, project budgeting, delay analysis, constructibility and design review, inspections, quantity take-offs.
• OSHA 10- or OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Project assignments including on-site representation of client, preparation of project documentation, cost estimating, scheduling, plan review, research of records, quality control/quality assurance inspection and materials testing and oversight.
• May review project records, schedules, and as-built construction to evaluate change orders and requests for extension of time.
• Independently apply techniques and analyze for problems and methods; ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Receive training, participation in company activities, and administrative duties. Other duties as assigned.
