Job summary

HNTB is seeking an entry level Technician I to join our Central States office. In a team environment you will prepare drawings with CADD, assist in data transfer and information gathering, and work on projects in bridge and roadway sub-types.

This role requires an Associate of Science in Drafting or related field (or two years of relevant experience). You will support engineers and project managers, transfer data from survey sources to final plans, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Drafting or Technical School or related.
• In lieu education, 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of construction details, design plans, reports, and relevant project related materials utilizing computer aided drafting, design software and various other computer software packages.
• Transfers information in numerical, written and sketched, or electronic format from sources such as legal descriptions, survey data, aerial photographs and computer files to final plans and maps.
• Assist in coordinating with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and verify design details according to company standards and best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
