HNTB is seeking a transportation designer/technician to join our Central States offices. Role focuses on local/state highway projects with CAD design and proficiency in Bentley MicroStation (OpenRoads and InRoads).

Ideal candidate has 6+ years of relevant experience and a strong ability to interpret design sketches, collaborate with the team, and support multiple disciplines within transportation design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 6 years of relevant experience, or
• AS in Drafting/Technical field with 8 years of experience, or
• In lieu education, 10 years of relevant experience.

Responsabilités

• Verify drawing accuracy and cross-discipline compatibility; prepare layouts, specifications, estimates and reports.
• Assist in engineering studies from concept to design stage under project engineer/architect guidance.
• Attend project meetings and contribute to policies, procedures and specifications.
• Resolve technical design problems; perform field investigations or inspections as needed.
• Provide general administrative support, maintain project plans, and assist with project management reporting.
• Suggest process improvements for project delivery at office level.
• Calculate quantities and perform engineering-related computations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
