Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking an entry-level Truck Driver Transmission to support construction, maintenance and repair of electrical transmission systems. The role involves working at various locations and may require travel to another state as needed by customers.

Responsibilities include wiring stringing, pole setting, transformer and switchgear work, and safe operation of high voltage equipment. A valid CDL and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Understand proper operation and safety rules for equipment.
• Capable of following directions and working in teams.
• Capable of working at heights and in adverse weather.
• Capable of lifting in excess of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe construction, maintenance or repair of energized and de-energized transmission work.
• String overhead wire; set poles and anchors.
• Assist with installing transformers, switches and switchgear.
• Replace fuses in transformers and clear faulted circuits.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good condition.
• Work at various locations and travel as required by customer demands.
