Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking an Entry Level Transmission Line Design Engineer in Reno, NV to design and analyze transmission line structures, conductors, and foundations. You will support construction of lines delivering power from plants to communities and grow with utility clients across the U.S.

You'll make periodic site visits in the Reno area and work with a team of experienced engineers, PEs, and project managers to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (completed or expected by May 2027).
• EIT or FE exam planned within first year.
• Comfortable with outdoor work and travel to project sites.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze transmission line structures, conductors, and foundations.
• Prepare detailed drawings, material lists, calculations, specs, and reports.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure safety and design standards.
• Collaborate with utility clients, PMs, contractors, and other engineers.
• Use software tools for modeling and simulation of transmission line performance (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE – training provided).
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
