Job summary

WSP USA invites applications for an Early Career Civil Engineer (Transmission Line Design) in Baton Rouge, LA. The role supports the design and development of transmission projects, with focus on data collection, analysis, and documentation across multiple design disciplines.

The candidate will work under supervision on routine engineering tasks, collaborate with the Power Delivery team, and gain exposure to design/build processes, permitting, and construction activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• 0–1 years post-education experience.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Familiarity with design/build processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from sites, surveys, GIS data, plans, and logs for project development, design, and construction.
• Support basic professional civil engineering work related to inspections of site conditions to ensure conformance with rules and permits.
• Provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements and safety for end-users and infrastructure.
• Verify site characteristics and provide technical assistance on engineering and construction issues.
• Generate complete, accurate documentation using electronic systems, drawings, and logs.
