Job summary

WSP seeks an Early Career Civil Engineer to join the Tulsa office and contribute to transmission line design for high voltage projects. You will assist in data collection, modeling, and documentation, leveraging PLS-CADD and related tools under supervision to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.

Ideal candidates have a civil engineering degree, 0–1 year experience, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
0 to 1 years of relevant post-education experience.
Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
Familiarity with design/build processes and civil construction laws, codes and compliance requirements.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
Detail-oriented, self-led, capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
Ability to work independently or in a team to meet objectives.
Proficiency with technical writing and standard office software.
Commitment to workplace safety and company policies.

Responsibilities

Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing site data for project development and construction.
Perform transmission line design tasks for projects up to 765kV.
Support initial project execution layout and planning.
Maintain project budgets and schedules.
Follow QA/QC procedures.
Develop transmission line design expertise (PLS-CADD, structure loading, drawings, procurement, construction specs).
Travel to field as needed.
Conduct basic engineering investigations of site conditions and compliance.
